Measures reported by OraZFSNFS3StTest

Users access the nodes on the Oracle ZFS storage system via the communication protocols such as NFS, SMB/CIFS, HTTP/HTTPS, FTP, REST API, and SWIFT. These connections are a good indicator of the load on the storage system. If users complain about the poor connectivity to the storage system, administrators may want to check the protocol connections to figure out whether the storage system is stressed due to an overload condition. If so, administrators may also want to identify the protocol thorough which the maximum load is received by the storage system.

This test reports the average operations established through NFSv3 protocol and reveals the peak operations. This way, the test measures the workload received via NFSv3 protocol to each node in the storage cluster during the specified duration. The detailed diagnosis reveals the connections that had hit high operation peaks during that period.

Outputs of the test: One set of results for the Oracle ZFS Storage System being monitored.

The measures made by this test are as follows:

Measurement Description Measurement Unit Interpretation
nfs3IOPS Indicates the average NFS3 operations during the last measurement period. Operations/sec

The value of this measure reveals the workload received via NFSv3 protocol to each node in the storage cluster during the specified duration.

nfs3IOPSByOpsMax Indicates the peak NFS3 operations during the last measurement period. Operations/sec

Use the detailed diagnosis of this measure to know when high/ low peaks had occurred. This information will help in troubleshooting errors easily.
