Measures reported by OraZFSiSCSITest

The iSCSI (Internet Small Computer Systems Interface) protocol is a licensed service on the storage system that enables you to transfer block data to hosts using the SCSI protocol over TCP/IP. This test monitors the active and attempted iSCSI sessions, and promptly captures the bandwidth used and the Input/ Output operations encountered by these sessions.

Outputs of the test: One set of results for the Oracle ZFS Storage System being monitored.

The measures made by this test are as follows:

Measurement Description Measurement Unit Interpretation
iSCSIData Indicates the data transferred between the Storage and LUN via iSCSI (Internet Small Computer Systems Interface) per second. MB/sec

A higher value denotes excessive bandwidth utilization.

iSCSIIOPS Indicates the input and output rate through iSCSI between the Storage and LUN. IOPS

A sudden high value could indicate a processing bottleneck.

The gradual increase in the value of this measure indicates a consistent rise of I/O load.
