Measures reported by BB12XAffExtRCPTest

The BlackBerry Affinity Manager is responsible for maintaining an active connection between BlackBerry 10 devices and the BlackBerry Infrastructure. Affinity Manager uses either of SRP, internal services or RCP to estanlish connections with external devices.

This test monitors the Affinity Manager External RCP (Rate Control Protocol) connection and alerts the administrator about the number of transactions that are waiting to be sent. Using this test, the administrator can understand if there are any delay or loss in transactions/ data.

Outputs of the test: One set of results for Blackberry UEM 12.x device.

The measures made by this test are as follows:

Measurement Description Measurement Unit Interpretation
transactionWaitingtoSent Indicates the number of transactions waiting to be sent from Blackberry UEM to external devices. Number

A high value of this number is undesirable and may indicate an issue with connections.

dataReceivedoverRCPConn Indicates the bytes received over RCP connection from external devices. MB

Compare the value of this measure across connections and over a number of measurments to identify if there is any loss in data.

dataTransmitoverRCPConn Indicates the bytes sent over RCP connection from Blackberry UEM. MB

Compare the value of this measure across the connections to identify which connection is contributing to the high level of traffic.

transacReceivedoverRCP Indicates the number of receive operations over RCP connection. Number

Compare the value of this measure over a number of measurements to understand if there is a downward trend.

transacSentoverRCP Indicates the number of send operations over RCP connection. Number

Compare the value of this measure over a number of measurements to understand if there is a downward trend.
