Measures reported by CogPresentTest
The Presentation Service transforms generic XML responses from another service into output format, such as HTML or PDF and provides display, navigation, and administration capabilities in connection. If this service is unavailable or is unable to process the requests successfully, the XML responses could not be transformed into readable output format. This will affect the experience of the users relying on the output to a great extent. Therefore, it is essential for the administrators to continuously ensure the availability of the service and track the request processing ability of the service. For this purpose, eG Enterprise offers the CogPresentTest.
This test monitors the Presentation Service and reports the current status of the service. This test also throws light on the number of presentation service requests that were successful/failed. This test helps administrators initiate troubleshooting to determine the reason for request failures and resolve the same at the earliest.
Outputs of the test: One set of results for the target IBM Cognos Business Intelligence suite being monitored.
