eG Monitoring

Measures reported by PPCBatInStatTest

Battery is at the core of any UPS and it is important to have right amount of current at right frequency goes to UPS for long lasting battery life. This test monitors the battery inputs and collects key metrics like voltage and frequency of input current to the battery.

Outputs of the test: One set of results for the PPC UPS monitored.

The measures made by this test are as follows:

Measurement Description Measurement Unit Interpretation
voltRecvd Indicates the current input voltage of UPS system expressed in 1/10 V. Volts

High value of input voltage and frequency can damage the battery, similarly a low voltage and frequency value may result in slow charging of battery.

voltFreq Indicates the current input voltage frequency of UPS system expressed in 1/10 Hz. Hertz

High value of input voltage and frequency can damage the battery, similarly a low voltage and frequency value may result in slow charging of battery.

voltFail Indicates the reason for last fallback to UPS power.

The values reported by this measure and its numeric equivalent are mentioned in the table below:

Measure Value Numeric Value
No Transfer 1
Highline Voltage 2
Brown out 3
Black out 4
Small momentary sag 5
Deep momentary sag 6
Small momentary spike 7
Deep momentary spike 8

Note:

By default, this measure reports the Measure Values listed in the table above to indicate the current status of this fan. The graph of this measure, however, represents the status of the fan using the numeric equivalents only.
