Measures reported by CtxALImageTest

Citrix App Layering Manager can create layered images and also can directly provision and publish layered images to hypervisors as virtual machines that are used as Master Images for Machine Creation Services (MCS). The layered images can also be published via image management tools, such as Citrix PVS and View Composer. The layered images are centrally managed and distributed for deployment by publishing from the App Layering Manager to a Citrix Provisioning server. The App Layering Manager also supports attaching more App Layers to the layered images at login based on user identity.

The Images - AL test monitors the layered images managed by the Citrix App Layering Manager, reports whether each image is publishable or not and also reveals the size of each image on the disk. This way, the test promptly alerts you to potential publishing failures and amount of space occupied by each image on the virtual disk. In addition, this test also reveals the total number of layers attached to each image and the number of App Layer attached to each image.

Outputs of the test: One set of results for each layered image managed by the target Citrix App Layering Manager.

Descriptor: Layered Image
