Measures reported by AsSysUpdPerfTest

The update system is used to reduce the workload of SAP transactions when time-consuming changes are made to the SAP database. These changes are carried out asynchronously-with only a very brief delay-by special updating work processes.

For each type of update process, this test reports the response time and the time for which the update processes were waiting for update operations. This test also throws light on errors that were detected when update operations were performed by the update processes. The detailed diagnosis of this test lists the instances that were slow to respond based on their response time.

Outputs of the test : One set of results for each type of update process performed on the target SAP ABAP System being monitored.

The measures made by this test are as follows:

Measurement Description Measurement Unit Interpretation
Response_time Indicates the total response time for this type of update processes. Seconds Use the detailed diagnosis of this measure to figure out the instances that were slow to respond to the requests.
Queue_time Indicates the time for which this type of update processes were waiting for update operations during the last measurement period. Seconds  
Up_wp_error_rate Indicates the rate at which errors were detected when this type of update processes were performing update operations during the last measurement period. Errors/min A high value for this measure indicates that there were too many errors detected while update operations were performed.
