The log volumes of a database form the log area. The database system permanently stores the redo log entries (after images) in the log area. For the data to be stored seamlessly in the SAP database, there should be adequate space available in both the data area and log area. A potential space crunch when detected at the earliest will help administrators plan the size of the database accordingly and help avert data loss. The AsSysDBSpaTest test helps administrators track the space utilization of each type of volume in the SAP database. For each type of volume available in the SAP database, this test reports the space that had been utilized and the space that is available for use. Using this test, administrators can figure out the volume that is currently running out of space. Outputs of the test : One set of results for each type of volume of the SAP database of the target SAP ABAP System being monitored. The measures made by this test are as follows:
