Administrators need a fair understanding of the typical session load on the load balancer before they can size it with adequate CPU and memory resources. Using the Session Statistics test at frequent intervals, administrators can judge the current session load on the balancer. Additionally, the test also enables administrators to study the load trends over the last 1 minute and figure out if the load is on an upswing. This way, the test provides administrators with effective pointers for planning the resource capacity of the load balancer.

Measurement	Description	Measurement Unit	Interpretation
curSession	Indicates the number of sessions currently handled by the load balancer.	Number	This is a good indicator of the current session load on the load balancer.
curSession4Sec	Indicates the average number of sessions handled by the load balancer during the last 4 seconds.	Number	This measure reveals how session load has changed in over 1 minute. Compare the value of theis measure with that of the Current session to understand if the variations have been erratic. If the comparison reveals that session load has not changed significantly in the last minute, then administrators can conclude that this is the normal session load on the device. Capacity plans can be drawn on the basis of this.On the other hand, if session load has changed drastically in the last minute, the reason for the anomaly has to be investigated and determined.
