Measures reported by FCCluWmiStatusTest WMI is Windows Management Instrumentation, which is an interface through which Windows components can provide information and notifications to each other, often between remote computers. Failover Clustering and System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM) often use WMI to communicate between cluster nodes, so if there is an issue contacting a cluster node, it is primarily essential to see if the WMI service is up and running. In some cases, the cluster nodes may not be able to communicate with each other even when the WMI service is up and running much to the agony of the administrators. To troubleshoot this communication failure, administrators should often verify if the namespace of the WMI service for the cluster is available to all the cluster nodes. The FCCluWmiStatusTest comes in handy to the administrators in this regard! This test reports the current state of the WMI service and if the WMI service is running, this test will also report the connectivity status of the failover cluster WMI.
