Experience Dashboard for a Specific User
- This dashboard is divided into 3 different panels namely Data, DD and Graph. The Data panel is divided into multiple groups, with each group representing a key indicator of desktop performance – by default, this includes ICA session health and the usage of critical desktop resources such as CPU, memory, disk, and network. The performance measures that influence the state of each KPI are grouped under the respective heads and the current state of each metric is indicated, so that when a problem occurs, the end-user can easily and instantly figure out which KPI has been affected by what problem. If the detailed diagnosis capability is enabled for any measure, then a (Image)(magnifying glass) icon will appear next to that measure. Clicking on that icon will invoke a bar graph providing detailed diagnostics related to that measure.
- While the Data panel tells the end-user what the problem is, the DD panel leads the end-user to the probable cause of the problem! For instance, if the Data panel indicates abnormal CPU usage by the virtual desktop, the end-user can just take a look at the Top processes by CPU utilization bar graph in the DD panel to understand which processes on the desktop are currently consuming CPU excessively and which of these processes is consuming the maximum CPU; this way, end-users can rapidly identify the CPU-hungry process that is probably contributing to the CPU contention on the virtual desktop.
- The Graph panel displays 2D measure graphs for a pre-configured set of measures, and thus enables effective historical analysis of problem conditions. By peeking into the past performance of a measure, end-users can understand whether the problem in question occurred suddenly or has aggravated over a period of time. Based on this inference, end-users can not only come up with instant fixes for the problem, but can also plan capacity changes that may keep the problem from becoming worse or even re-occuring in the future! These measure graphs will be displayed for a default Timeline of one hour. You can enlarge all the graphs of the DD and Graph panels individually by clicking the icon that is available on the right top corner of each graph.
Note:
The default Timeline can be overridden by altering the Timeline parameter that is available under the [Default_Duration] section of the \manager\config\eg_endUserDetails.ini file.
