Default Test Configuration Page

This page allows you to pick the component type and test for which the default parameters are to be configured. To access this page, click on the icon available in the Admin tab. Then, select the Default Configuration option from the Tests sub-menu in the Agents tile. Do the following using this page:

• From the Component type list, select the type of component to which the default values you provide should apply.
• Then, by selecting an option from the Test type list, indicate whether the default parameter values should apply to a Performance test related to the chosen Component type, or a Configuration test. While a test of type Performance typically reports useful performance statistics pertaining to a component, a test of type Configuration, simply reports the current configuration of a component and captures configuration changes (if any).
• If the Test type is Performance, then the Test name list will be populated with the complete list of performance tests mapped to the chosen Component type. On the other hand, if the Test type is Configuration, then, you will have to choose from a wide variety of configuration tests that will be made available to you in the Test name list.
• Once a test is chosen, the default parameters of that test will be displayed, so that you can provide the default values for each parameter. Note that this default test configuration will apply to all components of the chosen component type, until such time that a component-specific configuration is defined for the same test.
