Configuration of SIOSDKLicenseTest

This test auto-discovers the the licenses installed with the SIOS DataKeeper, and for each license determines when the license is likely to expire.

The default parameters associated with this test are as follows:

  • The TEST PERIOD list box helps the user to decide how often this test needs to be executed.

  • Specify the IP address of the HOST textbox for which this test is to be configured.

  • Specify the PORT at which HOST listens.

  • Provide the location in DataKeeper License Path to install the license files of the SIOS DataKeeper. By default, this parameter is set to ‘None’ indicating that the eG agent will monitor the license files in the install directory of the SIOS DataKeeper by default. In case, the license files are installed in a different location, you should explicitly specify the exact location of the license files here. For example, D:\programs\SIOSData\dklin

  • By default, the Show Expired License flag is set to No indicating that this test will not monitor the licenses of the SIOS Datakeeper that have expired. Set the Show Expired License flag to Yes, if you want to monitor the licenses that have expired.

  • Once the necessary values have been provided, clicking on the UPDATE button will register the changes made.

When changing the configuration for specific servers, a “*” beside the text box corresponding to the parameter signifies that these values have to be manually configured by the user. The parameter values that require to be configured will typically be prefixed with a “$” or contain a series of “*”. A value of “none” in the parameter value indicates that the corresponding parameter value can be changed if required.
