This test reports the status of the PAN OPServer hosting the PAN Manager application and helps the administrator to figure out if this PAN OPserver is the master in a redundant setup.This test reports the numerical statistics of the user connections that were successful and the connections that were disconnected in this vCenter. Additionally, using this test, you can identify the number of times the VC Listener Service was started in this vCenter and the number of times the vCenter was reconnected to the vCloud Director cell.

The default parameters associated with this test are as follows:

• The TEST PERIOD list box helps the user to decide how often this test needs to be executed.

• In the HOST text box, the host name of the component for which the test is to be configured has to be specified.

• Specify the port at which the specified HOST listens in the PORT text box. By default, this is NULL.

• Specify the port at which the JMX listens for requests from remote hosts in the REMOTE PORT text box.

• The JNDINAME is a lookup name for connecting to the JMX connector. By default, this is jmxrmi. If you have resgistered the JMX connector in the RMI registery using a different lookup name, then you can change this default value to reflect the same.

• If JMX requires authentication only (but no security), then ensure that the USER and PASSWORD parameters are configured with the credentials of a user with read-write access to JMX.

• Confirm the password by retpying it in the CONFIRM PASSWORD text box.

• Once the necessary values have been provided, clicking on the Update button will register the changes made.

When changing the configuration for specific servers, a “*” beside the text box corresponding to the parameter signifies that these values have to be manually configured by the user. The parameter values that require to be configured will typically be prefixed with a “$” or contain a series of “*”. A value of "none" in the parameter value indicates that the corresponding parameter value can be changed if required.
