MANAGED INFRASTRUCTURE

In the large environments where multiple eG managers report to eG SuperManager, administrator of the SuperManager or the egsm user may want to know the infrastructure of each eG manager in detail. To cater to the needs of such administrators, eG Enterprise provides a MANAGED INFRASTRUCTURE page. This page appears when you choose the Overview option from the Infrastructure tile of the Admin menu. This page provides you with a quick look at the managed infrastructure as a whole, based on a chosen zone/service/segment/service group/aggregated component/component.

To view the information you require, do the following:

• Select the nickname of the eG manager of your choice from the Manager ID drop down list.

• The View drop down list will then appear. From the View list, choose a particular element of your choice. If zones/services/segments/service groups/aggregated components/components are managed in the chosen manager, then all the options will be listed in View list.

• If Service is chosen from the View list, then, the services associated with the chosen eG manager will be displayed.

• If the Component option is chosen from the View list, then an additional Component Type list will appear using which you can pick and choose to view the components of your choice. If ALL option is chosen from the Manager ID list, Component option is chosen from the View list and ALL option is chosen from the Component Type list, then, all the components with the manager ID will be displayed.
