Excluding a Test for Multiple Components of a Type

If more than one component of a type has been managed, then, clicking on the Exclude button in the AGENTS - TESTS - SPECIFIC TEST CONFIGURATION page will lead you to this page, using which you can exclude the selected test for the other components of that type as well.

Note:

  • This page will appear only if a single test is chosen for exclusion. If multiple tests are excluded at one shot, the selected tests will instantly move to the EXCLUDED TESTS list of the AGENTS - TESTS - SPECIFIC TEST CONFIGURATION page.
  • To exclude a test for multiple components of a type at one shot, the test chosen for exclusion should be in the same state (Unconfigured / Configured with Default Configuration / Configured with Specific Configuration) across all the target components. If not, then, such components will not appear in the INCLUDED COMPONENTS list of this page.

The INCLUDED COMPONENTS list of this page will list all the components (of the chosen component type) for which the chosen test is currently available. The COMPONENTS TO BE EXCLUDED list will by default display that component for which the test is currently being chosen for exclusion. To exclude the test for the other components, pick them from the INCLUDED COMPONENTS list and click the < button; this will transfer the selection to the COMPONENTS TO BE EXCLUDED list. If you want to include the test for one/more of the components chosen for exclusion, then, pick the components from the COMPONENTS TO BE EXCLUDED list and click the > button. Finally, click the Apply button to save the changes. You will then be leaded to the AGENTS - TESTS - SPECIFIC TEST CONFIGURATION page, where you can view the test that you just excluded in the EXCLUDED TESTS list.

To allow you to quickly search for a component under COMPONENTS TO BE EXCLUDED and INCLUDED COMPONENTS lists, a Search text box has been included where you can specify the whole/part of the component. The results of your search will be displayed as and when you type the search string in the Search text box.
