Configuration
of NrpcTest
The NrpcTest reports whether a Notes client is able to connect to the Lotus Domino mail server, and also measures the responsiveness of the mail server. The parameters associated with this test are as follows:
-
In the HOST
text box, the host name of the server for which the test is to be
configured has to be specified.
-
In the PORT
text box, the port number to which the server being configured listens is to be specified.
-
The port of the Domino HTTP server has to be provided in the HTTPPORT
text box.
-
The user name using which the test needs to connect to the Domino mail server has to be specified against the USERNAME text box.
-
In the PASSWORD text box, mention the Internet password set for the specified USERNAME.
-
Confirm the password by retyping it in the CONFIRMPASSWORD text box.
-
If multiple components of the same component type are awaiting configuration, then an APPLY TO OTHER COMPONENTS check box will appear in this page. Clicking on this check box will allow you to apply the configuration to all/selected components of that type.
-
Once the necessary
values have been provided, clicking on the UPDATE button will
register the changes made.
When changing the
configuration for specific servers, a “*” beside the text box
corresponding to the parameter signifies that these values have to be
manually configured by the user. The parameter values that require to
be configured will typically be prefixed with a “$” or contain a
series of “*”. A value of "none"
in the parameter value indicates that the corresponding parameter
value can be changed if required.
Note:
To enable the NrpcTest to run properly, the following need to be ensured:
- The Domino HTTP Server should be running.
- The DIIOP task of the Domino mail server should have been started.
- The NCSO.jar file available in the {LOTUSNOTES_INSTALL_DIR}\Domino\Data\domino\java directory should be copied to the {EG_INSTALL_DIR}\lib directory.
