This test is used to identify the state, I/O activity and overall health of the Lun pertaining to the SAN server.

The default parameters associated with this test are as follows:

• The TEST PERIOD list box helps the user to decide how often this test needs to be executed.

• In the HOST text box, the host name of the server for which the test is to be configured has to be specified.

• The PORT text box refers to the port used by the SAN server. The default port is 'null'.

• In the CLARIION IP text box, Specify the ip address of the storage controller on the SAN server. By default, the HOST IP will be assigned in this text box.

• The eG agent invokes the NAVISSECCLI client software to communicate with and monitor the storage device. To enable this, the eG agent must be configured with the full path to the CLI. Hence,in the NAVISECCLIPATH text box, specify the full path to the Naviseccli.

• In the USERNAME and PASSWORD text boxes, provide the credentials of the USER, who is authorized to access the SAN storage device.

• Confirm the password by retyping it in the CONFIRM PASSWORD text box.

• In the TIMEOUT text box, indicate the duration (in seconds) for which this test should wait for a response from the storage device. By default, this is set to 60 seconds.

• To avoid displaying the details of the Lun that are disabled, set the IGNORE DISABLED LUNS to true . By default it is set to no .

• To exclude the disabled Luns from being monitored, specify those Luns in a comma seperated list say as 13,14#19 in the EXCLUDE LUNS text box. Here, # represents the range of Luns to be excluded from being monitored.The default value for this parameter is 999.

• If multiple components of the same component type are awaiting configuration, then an APPLY TO OTHER COMPONENTS check box will appear in this page. Clicking on this check box will allow you to apply the configuration to all/selected components of that type.

• Once the necessary values have been provided, clicking on the Update button will register the changes made.

When changing the configuration for specific servers, a “*” beside the text box corresponding to the parameter signifies that these values have to be manually configured by the user. The parameter values that require to be configured will typically be prefixed with a “$” or contain a series of “*”. A value of "none" in the parameter value indicates that the corresponding parameter value can be changed if required.
