Configuration
of ClariionLunTest_cf
This test is used to identify the state, I/O activity and overall health of the Lun pertaining to the SAN server.
The default parameters associated with this test are as follows:
- The TEST PERIOD list box helps the user to decide how often this test needs to be executed.
- In the HOST text box, the host name of the server for which the test is to be configured has to be specified.
-
The eG agent invokes the NAVISSECCLI client software to communicate with and monitor the storage device. To enable this, the eG agent must be configured with the full path to the CLI. Hence,in the NAVISECCLIPATH text box, specify the full path to the Naviseccli.
-
To exclude the disabled Luns from being monitored, specify those Luns in a comma seperated list say as 13,14#19 in the EXCLUDE LUNS text box. Here, # represents the range of Luns to be excluded from being monitored. The default value for this parameter is 999.
When changing the configuration for specific servers, a “*” beside the text box corresponding to the parameter signifies that these values have to be manually configured by the user. The parameter values that require to be configured will typically be prefixed with a “$” or contain a series of “*”. A value of "none" in the parameter value indicates that the corresponding parameter value can be changed if required.
