Default Parameters for IgniteCacDetTest

This test is an extension of Cache Test and gather metrics around the key features of the cache if they are enabled or not. While debugging the cache this information is key to get to the bottom of the issue for administrators.

This page depicts the default parameters that need to be configured for the IgniteCacDetTest test.

• The TEST PERIOD list box helps the user to decide how often this test needs to be executed.

• In the HOST text box, specify host for which the test is to be configured.

• In the JMX REMOTE PORT text box, specify the name of a virtual warehouse that needs to be monitored. The JMX connector listens on 8686 by default. If it listens on different port in your environment then specify the same.

• In the USERNAME text box, specify the credentials of the user who is authorized to use JMX. Confirm the password by retyping it in the CONFIRM PASSWORD text box.

• In the PASSWORD text box, Specify the password for the authorized user and confirm the password by retyping it in the CONFIRM PASSWORD text box.

• Once the above values are provided, click on the UPDATE button to register the changes made.

When changing default configurations of tests, the values with “$” indicate variables that will be replaced by the eG system according to the specific server being managed - for instance, $hostName is the host/nickname of the target host, $port is the port number of the server being monitored. E.g., for a server xyz:80, $hostName will be changed automatically by the eG manager to “xyz*” and $port will be changed to “80” when configuring a test.
