Default Parameters for TPDCpgCapctyTest A common provisioning group (CPG) creates a virtual pool of logical disks that allows virtual volumes to share the CPG's resources and allocates space on demand. A CPG allows up to 65,536 virtual volumes to share a CPG's assigned resources. The allocated capacity of CPG includes usable space, snap space and administration space. This test periodically checks the usage of those spaces on the target storage system and proactively alerts administrators to potential storage space contentions so that, amends are made before application performance deteriorates. This page depicts the default parameters that need to be configured for the TPDCpgCapctyTest.
When changing default configurations of tests, the values with “$” indicate variables that will be replaced by the eG system according to the specific server being managed - for instance, $hostName is the host/nickname of the target host, $port is the port number of the server being monitored. E.g., for a server xyz:80, $hostName will be changed automatically by the eG manager to “xyz*” and $port will be changed to “80” when configuring a test. |
