Default Parameters for ARSWMemUsageTest Often, in environments where Arista Switch is deployed, unavailability and poor performance of the switch can adversely impact inter-device communication. If not detected and resolved quickly, such issues can snowball and degrade performance of mission-critical applications in the target environment. This may directly impact the reputation and business revenue of the environment. To avoid such adversities, it is important to monitor the operations of the Arista switch continuously. This test monitors the memory utilization of the Arista Switch and proactively alerts administrators to potential memory contention, if any. This page depicts the default parameters that need to be configured for the ARSWMemUsageTest.
When changing default configurations of tests, the values with “$” indicate variables that will be replaced by the eG system according to the specific server being managed - for instance, $hostName is the host/nickname of the target host, $port is the port number of the server being monitored. E.g., for a server xyz:80, $hostName will be changed automatically by the eG manager to “xyz*” and $port will be changed to “80” when configuring a test. |
