Default Parameters for CtxALManageAppTest

This test monitors the App Layering Services running on the target appliance and for each service, reports the current status. This test also reveals the amount of local storage utilized by each service and the amount of free space on local storage. By analyzing these metrics, administrators can instantly figure out if any of the services is stopped running due to inadequate storage space at the earliest before users complain.

This page depicts the default parameters that need to be configured for the CtxALManageAppTest test.

• The TEST PERIOD list box helps the user to decide how often this test needs to be executed.

• In the HOST text box, specify the IP address of the host for which this test is to be configured.

• By default, this test needs to be configured with credentials of a user with Read-only permissions to the target appliance to pull out the required metrics. Specify the login credentials of such a user in the USERNAME and PASSWORD text boxes.

• Confirm the PASSWORD by retyping it in the CONFIRM PASSWORD text box.

• In the DOMAIN text box, specify the name of the domain to which the specified user belongs to. For instance, eginnovations\mpriya.

• In the SSL flag, indicate whether/not the Citrix App Layering Manager is SSL-enabled. By default, this flag is set to No.

• Once the above values are provided, click on the UPDATE button to register the changes made.

When changing default configurations of tests, the values with “$” indicate variables that will be replaced by the eG system according to the specific server being managed - for instance, $hostName is the host/nickname of the target host, $port is the port number of the server being monitored. E.g., for a server xyz:80, $hostName will be changed automatically by the eG manager to “xyz*” and $port will be changed to “80” when configuring a test.
