Measures reported by ProxClusDetTest

To ascertain the needs of the infrastructure and to determine whether/not additional resources need to be added to the Proxmox Cluster to handle their current and anticipated load, administrators should keep track on the available resources on the cluster. This visibility is provided through the ProxClusDetTest. This test reports the count of nodes, VMs, users and groups available in the Proxmox Cluster. In the process, this test also pinpoints those VMs/containers that are currently running and stopped and the nodes that are currently online and offline.

Outputs of the test : One set of results for the Proxmox Cluster being monitored

The measures made by this test are as follows:

Measurement Description Measurement Unit Interpretation
Status Indicates the current status of the cluster.   The values reported by this measure and its numeric equivalents are mentioned in the table below:

Measure Value Numeric Value
Online 1
Offline 0

Note:

By default, this measure reports the above-mentioned Measure Values while indicating the state of the cluster. In the graph of this measure however, the state is indicated using the numeric equivalents only.
Tot_node Indicates the total number of nodes available in the cluster. Number Use the detailed diagnosis of this measure to know more details on all the nodes in the cluster.
Online_node Indicates the number of nodes that are currently online. Number The detailed diagnosis of this measure reveals the name, ID and IP address of the nodes that are currently online.
Offline_node Indicates the number of nodes that are currently offline. Number The detailed diagnosis of this measure reveals the name, ID and IP address of the nodes that are currently offline.
Running_vms Indicates the number of VMs that are currently running on the cluster. Number The detailed diagnosis of this measure reveals the name and ID of each VM that is currently running in the cluster.
Stopped_vms Indicates the number of VMs that stopped running on the cluster. Number The detailed diagnosis of this measure reveals the name and ID of each VM that stopped running in the cluster.
Running_cntner Indicates the number of containers that are currently running on the cluster. Number The detailed diagnosis of this measure reveals the ID of VM and name of the container that is currently running in the cluster.
Stopped_cntner Indicates the number of containers that stopped running on the cluster. Number The detailed diagnosis of this measure reveals the ID of VM and name of the container that stopped running in the cluster.
Tot_user Indicates the number of containers that stopped running on the cluster. Number The detailed diagnosis of this measure reveals the name of user, the realm to which the user belongs, current status of the user and time stamp at which the user profile expires.
Tot_group Indicates the total number of groups available on the cluster. Number The detailed diagnosis of this measure displays names of the groups in the cluster and brief comment about each group.
