Configuring a Tier - Quick Insight A custom view is divided into broad sections known as tiers. A tier can be based on geography or it can match the infrastructure tiers (for eg., the database tier, the web server tier) or it can even be a service or a segment. To add a new tier, click on the [Add tier] link in the DESIGN VIEW page.This page will then appear, using which a new tier can be added. Based on which [Add tier] link you click in the DESIGN VIEW page, the position to be held by the new tier will be automatically determined and displayed in this page against Tier position. Give a name to the new tier in the Tier name text box, and click the Update button to update the changes. While modifying an existing tier, an additional Delete button will appear in this page, which when clicked, allows you to delete the tier. |
