Measures reported by RadADWSDServTest

A Server Farm, also known as a server cluster, is a collection of computer servers generally maintained by an enterprise and/or hosting provider to accomplish server needs far beyond the capability of one machine. Server farms often have backup servers for redundancy in the event of a primary server failure. This test monitors the health of each WSD (Web Services for Devices) farm and reveals how well each farm processes client requests.

Outputs of the test: One set of results for each WSD Farm on the target Radware Appdirector that is to be monitored.

Descriptor: WSD Farm

The measures made by this test are as follows:

Measurement Description Measurement Unit Interpretation
adminStatus Indicates the administrative status of this application server.

The values reported by this measure and its numeric equivalents are mentioned in the table below:

Measure Value Numeric Value
Enabled 1
Disabled 2

Note:

By default, this measure reports the Measure Values listed in the table above to indicate the current administrative status of this application server.

operStatus Indicates the current operational status of this application server.

The values reported by this measure and its numeric equivalents are mentioned in the table below:

Measure Value Numeric Value
Active 1
Not in Service 2

Note:

By default, this measure reports the Measure Values listed in the table above to indicate the current operational status of each application server.

dCliReq Indicates the number of connection requests that were denied by the server dispatcher to this WSD farm during the last measurement period. Number

A low value is desired for this measure. A consistent increase in this value of this measure is a cause of concern and may sometimes lead to poor user experience.

farmBandWid Indicates the bandwidth of this WSD farm. Percent

Compare the value of this measure across ESD farms to identify the WSD farm that is consuming maximum bandwidth.
