eG Monitoring

History of problems

This page gives information about the problems encountered by the current monitor user alone, which were recorded by him/her via the feedback form. On the other hand, the supermonitor can view the details of the whole set of problems that were encountered in the environment. The Fix History page can be reached via the HISTORY option against a measure name in the page depicting the layer model of a component and the last measurements mapping to that layer. The name of the test as well as the measurement failing, which are the root causes of the problem are displayed on the top of this page.

  • Problems pertaining to specific components in the environment can be viewed by selecting the name of the component as well as the component descriptor from the Component and Description list boxes respectively. By default, ALL option is listed in the Description list box.

  • By default, the Show Feedback from All Components check box is enabled. If fixes pre-exist for a given Test-Measure-Description combination, but for components other than the chosen one, then, by default, the details of such fixes will be displayed in the Feedback from Other Components section. This way, users can quickly access all the fixes related to a given problem from a single console. To view the fix feedback recorded for the chosen component alone, deselect the Show Feedback from All Components check box.

  • Once the selections are made, clicking on the SUBMIT button will enable the user to view the list of problems.

  • Details like the name of the component under consideration, the date and time when the problem was encountered and fixed, reasons for the problem, the fix measures taken, and the name of the user who fixed the problem are available for each and every problem in the Feedback from Selected Component section.

    Note:

If the feedback provided on a problem includes a URL, then while viewing the feedback history, the URL will be automatically hyperlinked by the eG system, so that administrators can click on the URL in the history and directly connect to the web page that sheds more light on the issue at hand and the means of correcting it.

  • The DELETE button associated with every problem enables the user to remove the problem from the existing list of problems.
