Measures reported by CyberAVAlertTest

This test intercepts the traps sent by the protocols based on anti-virus detection, extracts relevant information related to the errors from the traps, and reports the count of anti-virus events to the eG manager. This information enables administrators to detect the failures if any, understand the nature of failures, and accordingly decide on the remedial measures.

Outputs of the test : One set of results for each protocol communicating with the target Cyberoam Firewall.

The measures made by this test are as follows:

Measurement Description Measurement Unit Interpretation
Num_messages Indicates the number of times the anti-virus alert was triggered through this protocol during the last measurement period. Number Ideally, the value of this measure should be zero. A high value is an indication of security risk in your environment. The detailed diagnosis of this measure reveals the host which sent the traps, the time stamp at which the trap was received, type of the trap and the trap message.
