This test auto-discovers the stack units of the Dell Switch M-Series and reports the current temperature of each stack unit. By carefully analyzing the temperature of the stack units, administrators can figure out the stack units that are malfunctioning due to the temperature being out of the admissible range.

The measures made by this test are as follows:

Measurement Description Measurement Unit Interpretation
Temperature Indicates the current temperature reading of this stack unit. Celsius Ideally, the temperature should be well within admissible range. A sudden / gradual increase /decrease in the temperature is a cause of concern and warrants the immediate attention of administrator.
