Measures reported by XMMsgTest

In large corporate environments, it is not possible for the administrator to keep track of all the actions issued to the devices on the network. In a multiple administrator environment, it is even more difficult to track which administrator has issued an action to a particular device. Even if the action was completed, without an acknowledgement, administrators may not be able to identify the device on which the actions were completed and on the devices on which the action was still pending. To gain a better vision on the list of devices on which the actions were completed or the list of devices on which the actions were cancelled after issue, you can use the XMMsgTest test.

For each device action issued by the administrator, this test returns the numerical statistics of the new messages and cancelled messages that were received as acknowledgement.

Note:

This test will not report metrics for Citrix XenMobile 10.5, 10.6 and 10.7 versions.

The measures made by this test are as follows:

Measurement Description Measurement Unit Interpretation
new_status_msg Indicates the number of new messages received for this action during the last measurement period. Number The detailed diagnosis of this measure if enabled, lists the Reference ID, the status of the message and the time at which the message was created.
cancel_status_msg Indicates the number of messages received owing to cancellation of this action after being issued during the last measurement period. Number The detailed diagnosis of this measure if enabled, lists the Reference ID, the status of the message and the time at which the message was created.
other_status_msg Indicates the number of messages received that were other than new and cancelled for this action during the last measurement period. Number The detailed diagnosis of this measure if enabled, lists the Reference ID, the status of the message and the time at which the message was created.
