Measures reported by BobiDataFSvcTest
The Data Federation Service helps administrators create a unified view of an organization's data sources in a fast, flexible, and easily accessible way. It allows a single Business Objects universe to map to multiple data sources and optimally federates (i.e., integrates) queries against individual sources directly. Using the BobiDataFSvcTest test, you can check the availability of this service on the monitored node, track the load on the service, and measure how well the service handles the load.
The measures made by this test are as follows:
| Measurement |
Description |
Measurement Unit |
Interpretation |
| dfsAvailability |
Indicates whether/not the data federation service is currently available. |
|
The values that this measure can report and their corresponding numeric values are discussed in the table below:
| Measure Value |
Numeric Value |
| No |

| Yes |

Note:
By default, this measure reports the Measure Values listed in the table above to indicate the status of the Data Federation service. In the graph of this measure however, the same is represented using the numeric values only. |
| noOfConnections |
Indicates the total number of user connections to the data federation query engine. |
Number |
This is a good indicator of the load on the data federation service. |
| noOfActiveThreads |
Indicates the number of threads used for servicing requests to the DFS. |
Number |
This is a good indicator of how busy the service is. |
| noOfLoadedConnectors |
Indicates the number of connectors loaded in the service. |
