Measures reported by XDGroupTest

Desktop groups consist of desktops that are pooled, preassigned, or assigned on first use. Each group can contain only one type of desktop. Desktops in pooled groups are allocated to users on a per-session, first-come first-served basis.

This test monitors the information regarding the desktop groups configured for this broker farm/site which is available in the XenDesktop Broker - 5.

The measures made by this test are as follows:

Measurement Description Measurement Unit Interpretation
Is_group_in_maintenance Indicates whether the desktop group is under maintenance or not.   This measure reports the values Yes or No while indicating the maintenance status of the desktop group. The numeric values that correspond to the above-mentioned states are as follows:

Note:

By default, this measure reports the above-mentioned States while indicating the maintenance status of the desktop group. However, the graph of this measure will be represented using the corresponding numeric equivalents of the states as mentioned in the table above.
Total_desktops Indicates the number of desktops that are configured to this desktop group. Number The detailed diagnosis for this measure can be used to track total number of desktops in the desktop group.
Available_desktops Indicates the number of desktops in this desktop group that are available for a new user to connect to. Number Ideally, this value should be high. Use the detailed diagnosis of this measure to the number of desktops available in the desktop group.
Disconnected_desktops Indicates the number of desktops that are disconnected from this desktop group. Number The detailed diagnosis of this measure will reveal the details of the disconnected desktops in the desktop group.
Desktops_in_use Indicates the number of desktops that are currently used by the users in this desktop group. Number The detailed diagnosis of this measure provides complete details of the desktops that are currently in use.
Desktops_in_use_pct Indicates the percentage of used desktops in this desktop group. Percent Ideally, the value of this measure should be low. A value close to 100% indicates that the desktop group is about to run out of free desktops.

Use the detailed diagnosis of this measure to know how much percentage of desktops are currently utilized in the desktop group.
Never_reg_desktops Indicates the number of desktops that are not registered properly with the broker although they are configured in this desktop group. Number Using the detailed diagnosis of this measure, you can identify the desktops, which are not registered properly with the broker.
Unregistered_desktops Indicates the number of desktops that are configured in this desktop group but are in an unregistered state with the broker. Number Use the detailed diagnosis of this measure to figure out the desktops that were unregistered from the broker.
Registered_desktops Indicates the number of desktops that are registered in this desktop group. Number Use the detailed diagnosis of this measure to know which desktops are currently registered with the broker.
