Measures reported by HPEvaHPortTest

This test monitors the data traffic to each host port on an EVA controller, and reports the errors encountered by and the overall condition of every host port.

 The measures made by this test are as follows:

Measurement Description Measurement Unit Interpretation
Port_status Indicates the current state of this host port. Number The value 1 for this measure indicates that the port is up and the value 0 for this measure indicates that the port is down.
Signal_loss_count Indicates the number of times signal losses have occurred on this port in the last measurement period. Number Ideally, the value of this measure should be low.
Bad_char_rcvd Indicates the number of frames received in the last measurement period possessing invalid words. Number Ideally, the value of this measure should be low.
Synch_loss_count Indicates the number of times synchronization losses occurred in the last measurement period. Number  
Link_fail_count Indicates the number of times link failures occurred in the last measurement period. Number  
EOF_rcvd_count Indicates the number of frames received with EOF delimiter in the last measurement period. Number  
Discard_frames_count Indicates the number of frames discarded in the last measurement period. Number  
Bad_CRC_count Indicates the number of frames received with invalid CRC in the last measurement period. Number
