eG Monitoring

Feedback page

This page enables a user to record the details of how specific problems were identified and how the problems were fixed. This information is maintained in the eG database and represents a location-specific knowledge base that can be queried by monitor users of the eG system. When a problem occurs, a user can query the knowledge base to determine how a similar problem had been fixed in the past. However, there are some limitations here. The monitor users can view the information recorded by him/her alone whereas the supermonitor gets to view the overall information provided by all the monitor users and of course by himself/herself. The feedback form can be reached via the FEEDBACK icon against a measure name in the page depicting the layer model of a component and the last measurements mapping to that layer.

  • The details pertaining to the measurement under consideration like the name of the component, service, description, and the test that reported the measurement can be viewed at the top of the page.

  • In the Problem time field, indicate the time at which the problem occurred. By default, the current system date and time will be displayed here.

  • The Fix time entry also, takes the current system date and time by default. The users can change this value by choosing an appropriate date and time.

  • The reasons due to which the problem was encountered should be input in the Problem Reason field.

  • The appropriate solution adopted to fix this problem should be specified in the Problem Fix field.

  • The current user who has logged in will appear in the Problem Fixed by text box.

The SAVE button enables the user to save these entries whereas the CLEAR button clears all the entries.
