Measures reported by VeritasStatsTest

The VeritasStatsTest reports the performance statistics of the Backup Exec server running on the Windows network. The measures made by this test are as follows:

Measurement Description Measurement Unit Interpretation
Aborted_jobs This refers to the percentage of backup jobs aborted. Percent A low value indicates that the Backup Exec server is running normally.

An increasing trend or high value indicates that the backup jobs are being aborted.

Corrupted_objects This refers to the  percentage of corrupted objects. Percent A high value of this measure indicates that the media is corrupted and is unable read data during backup operations.
Error_skipped_objects This refers to the percentage of objects that were skipped due to errors. Percent If the value of this measure is high, then it indicates that the server has skipped objects during the backup operation. This could happen if errors occur while opening an object for backup.
Failed_verify_objects This refers to the percentage of objects for which the verify operation failed. Percent A high value indicates the backup server's inability to conduct the verify operation, owing to which, the backup operation also failed.
Skipped_objects This refers to the percentage of objects that were skipped during a backup operation, as they were used by other applications. Percent A non-zero value indicates that the backup server skipped some objects (i.e. did not take backups of certain objects) as they were used by one or more applications.
