Measures reported by EsxTempMonTest

Using this test, you can instantly detect changes in the status of the temperature units on the ESX server, and also track the variations in the temperature readings of the individual units.

 The measures made by this test are as follows:

Measurement Description Measurement Unit Interpretation
Status Indicates the current status of this temperature unit.   If the status cannot be determined, then Unknown will be displayed here. If the unit is functioning in an error-free manner, then Normal will be displayed as the value of this measure. If a probable error condition is reported, then the status will be displayed as Warning. If a critical error condition is reported, then the status will be Error.

The numeric values that correspond to each of the states discussed above are listed in the table below:

Note:

By default, this measure reports one of the States discussed in the table above. The graph of this measure however, represents the status of a temperature unit using the numeric equivalents - 0 to 3.

Temperature Indicates the current temperature reading of this unit. DegC Compare the temperature readings registered by the temperature units to accurately identify units that could be experiencing abnormal temperatures. Such units might have to be subjected to closer observation to figure out the root-cause of the anomaly.
