Report Booklet Earlier, when users wanted to have a holistic view of configuration or needed to correlate configuration across reports, they had to schedule multiple reports for automatic emailing/printing. In such cases, users had to create a separate schedule for each report. At the scheduled time, each of these reports were then emailed to configured email IDs as separate PDFs. The challenge here was that they had to have multiple PDFs open simultaneously and switch between the PDFs to analyze the reports. To enable users to easily analyze configuration details across reports, eG Enterprise provides a Report Booklet. Users are allowed to choose closely-related reports and add them to a report booklet. This booklet is then saved as a single PDF and emailed. The Report Booklet page lists the available report booklets in your environment. To access this page, follow the menu sequence: Configuration -> Miscellaneous -> Report Booklet. This page displays the name of booklet in the BOOKLET NAME column, the brief description about the booklet in the DESCRIPTION column and the total number of reports combined in the REPORTS IN THE BOOKLET column. This page also indicates whether the booklet is generated or not in the STATUS column. If you wish to create a new booklet, you can do so by clicking on the If you have not generated the booklet earlier, then, the status of the report shown under the STATUS column against the report will be displayed as Not Generated. To generate the booklet, click the If you wish to reorder the reports in or remove the reports from or bind only a few reports in any of the booklets, then click on that particular booklet in the BOOKLET NAME column. The Report Booklet window will then appear displaying the list of reports combined in the chosen booklet. By default, in the Report Booklet window, the Booklet Name, Description and the No. of Reports field will be automatically populated along with the list of individual reports that are combined within the booklet. Clicking the Bind Reports button will combine all the reports added to the booklet and a combined report will be generated as a booklet i.e., as a single PDF file. If you wish to view the reports in the booklet in the order of your choice, you can even reorder the reports by a simple drag and drop the reports. You can remove one or more reports by selecting the reports from the Report Name column and click the If the number of report booklets exceeds 16, then the list of booklets will be split across pages. Also, a Page text box will be available at the bottom of every page. To go to a particular page, specify the page number in the text box and click on the adjoining arrow button. Page navigation can also be performed using the arrow buttons available at the bottom of every page. |
