Configuration of CassMsgDropTest The test auto-discovers the type of messages on the target Cassandra Database node and for each message type, reports the number of messages dropped and the time duration with which the messages were dropped from within the node and across the node. Using this test, administrators can figure out the messages of the message type that were dropped frequently and measure the maximum latency observed for the messages of each message type within the node and across nodes. The default parameters associated with this test are as follows:
When changing the configuration for specific servers, a “*” beside the text box corresponding to the parameter signifies that these values have to be manually configured by the user. The parameter values that require to be configured will typically be prefixed with a “$” or contain a series of “*”. A value of "none" in the parameter value indicates that the corresponding parameter value can be changed if required.
