Default Parameters for MariaDbUsaTest

This test auto-discovers all the databases on the Maria Database server and monitors the size of each database. Alerts are promptly sent out if any database is running out of space. In the event of a space crunch in a database, you can also use this test to figure out what is causing the space drain - documents? or index files?

This page depicts the default parameters that need to be configured for the MariaDbUsaTest test.

  • The TEST PERIOD list box helps the user to decide how often this test needs to be executed.

  • Specify the name of the database that is to be monitored on the target Maria Database server in the DATABASE text box.

  • The eG agent has to be configured with the credentials of a user who has server-wide PROCESS and SELECT privileges on the monitored Maria Database server. To know how to create such a user, click here.

  • Confirm the password by retyping it in the CONFIRM PASSWORD text box.

  • Once the above values are provided, click on the UPDATE button to register the changes made.

When changing the configuration for specific servers, a “*” beside the text box corresponding to the parameter signifies that these values have to be manually configured by the user. The parameter values that require to be configured will typically be prefixed with a “$” or contain a series of “*”. A value of “none” in the parameter value indicates that the corresponding parameter value can be changed if required.
