Configuration of CtxSDXXenHSWTest Periodically, administrators should check the status of and track changes to critical software resources on an SDX appliance, such as the BMC Firmware, XenServer API, Health Monitor Plugin, Management Service, etc. This is because, if these software components do not function as expected, users may not be able to use the SDX appliance effectively. To avoid this, administrators should run the CtxSDXXenHSWTest test at regular intervals and keep tabs on the status of each of the software components on the SDX appliance. The default parameters associated with this test are as follows:
When changing default configurations of tests, the values with “$” indicate variables that will be replaced by the eG system according to the specific server being managed - for instance, $hostName is the host/nickname of the target host, $port is the port number of the server being monitored. E.g., for a server xyz:80, $hostName will be changed automatically by the eG manager to “xyz*” and $port will be changed to “80” when configuring a test.
