Default Parameters for WinTeamNicTest

This test monitors the status (up/down) of each NIC team, and alerts administrators if even a single member of a team is unavailable. Additionally, the test reports the bandwidth usage of each team and points to those teams that are experiencing a bandwidth contention. The network throughput of each team and packet discards are reported, so that administrators can quickly identify the team with a poor throughput. In the process, the test throws a spotlight on capacity constraints and performance deficiencies in teams, so that administrators can effectively plan the future capacity of their teams and initiate measures to improve network throughput and performance.

Note:

This test will be applicable only for the Windows hosts 2012 and above.

This page depicts the default parameters that need to be configured for the WinTeamNicTest.

  • The TEST PERIOD list box helps the user to decide how often this test needs to be executed.

  • Once the necessary values have been provided, clicking on the UPDATE button will register the changes made.

When changing default configurations of tests, the values with "$" indicate variables that will be replaced by the eG system according to the specific server being managed - for instance, $hostName is the host/nickname of the target host, $port is the port number of the server being monitored. E.g., for a server xyz:80, $hostName will be changed automatically by the eG manager to "xyz" and $port will be changed to "80" when configuring a test.
