Configuration of WDispCacheTest

This test monitors the cache of the SAP Web Dispatcher and reports the total size of all cache entries, the total number of cache entries etc. Using this test, administrators can easily detect the number of invalid entries and remove them from the cache.

This page depicts the default parameters that need to be configured for the WDispCacheTest.

  • The TEST PERIOD list box helps the user to decide how often this test needs to be executed.

  • Specify the full path to the directory where the target SAP Web Dispatcher is installed in the WEB DISPATCHER DIR text box. Ensure that the specified location contains the sapwebdisp and wdispmon executables.

  • In the PROFILE FILE text box, specify the full path to the profile file with which the target SAP Web Dispatcher was started. The default name of the profile is sapwebdisp.pfl.

  • In the TIMEOUT text box, specify the time for which the eG agent should wait for collecting the required metrics. By default, this is 60 seconds.
  • Once the necessary values have been provided, clicking on the Update button will register the changes made.

When changing the configuration for specific servers, a “*” beside the text box corresponding to the parameter signifies that these values have to be manually configured by the user. The parameter values that require to be configured will typically be prefixed with a “$” or contain a series of “*”. A value of "none" in the parameter value indicates that the corresponding parameter value can be changed if required.
