Default Parameters for WDispStatusTest

This test reports the total number of images that are available on the Docker host/server. In addition, this test helps administrators to compare the numerical statistics of the images that are mapped to the containers and those that are not mapped to any container. Likewise, administrators can also be able to figure out the disk space utilization of images that are mapped to the containers and the disk space utilization of the images that are not mapped to the containers.

The default parameters associated with this test are as follows:

• The TEST PERIOD list box helps the user to decide how often this test needs to be executed.

• Specify the host for which the test is to be configured in the HOST text box.

• Specify the port number at which the specified HOST listens in the PORT text box. The default is 2375.

• Specify the full path to the directory where the target SAP Web Dispatcher is installed in the WEB DISPATCHER DIR text box. Ensure that the specified location contains the sapwebdisp and wdispmon executables.

• In the PROFILE FILE text box, specify the full path to the profile file with which the target SAP Web Dispatcher was started. The default name of the profile is sapwebdisp.pfl.

• In the TIMEOUT text box, specify the time for which the eG agent should wait for collecting the required metrics. By default, this is 60 seconds.

• To make diagnosis more efficient and accurate, the eG system embeds an optional detailed diagnostic capability. With this capability, the eG agents can be configured to run detailed, more elaborate tests as and when specific problems are detected. To enable the detailed diagnosis capability of this test for a particular server, choose the On option against DETAILED DIAGNOSIS. To disable the capability, click on the Off option.

  The option to selectively enable/disable the detailed diagnosis capability will be available only if the following conditions are fulfilled:

  • The eG manager license should allow the detailed diagnosis capability.

  • Both the bad and normal frequencies configured for the detailed diagnosis measures should not be 0.

• If multiple components of the same component type are awaiting configuration, then an APPLY TO OTHER COMPONENTS check box will appear in this page. Clicking on this check box will allow you to apply the configuration to all/selected components of that type.

• Once the above value is provided, click on the Update button to register the changes made.

When changing default configurations of tests, the values with "$" indicate variables that will be replaced by the eG system according to the specific server being managed - for instance, $hostName is the host/nickname of the target host, $port is the port number of the server being monitored. E.g., for a server xyz:80, $hostName will be changed automatically by the eG manager to "xyz" and $port will be changed to "80" when configuring a test.
