INTEGRATION CONSOLE - LAYER

This page appears when you click on the Layer option from the Integration Console tile that appears when you click on the icon available in the Admin tab.

  • By default, this page consists of two panels: one listing pre-defined layers and another listing user-defined layers. eG Enterprise represents every application/device that it monitors out-of-the-box using a hierarchical set of layers. The Pre-defined layers panel lists all those layers that are by default built into eG Enterprise for representing components that are monitored out-of-the-box. The User-defined layers panel lists only those layers that are custom-defined by users to extend the monitoring capabilities of the eG Enterprise solution.

  • To create a new layer, click the Add New Layer button available in the top right corner of the User-defined layers panel.

  • To associate/disassociate one / more tests to the layer, click the icon available against that layer.

  • If you want, you can delete any user defined layer by clicking the button corresponding to it.

  • Sometimes, locating a layer in the Pre-defined layers panel could pose a challenge. Similar challenge would be faced by the users if multiple new layers are listed under the User defined layers list. To allow you to quickly search for a layer, a Search text box has been included where you can specify the whole/part of the layer. The results of your search will be displayed as and when you type the search string in the Search text box.
