Default
Parameters for SybLongRunQueryTest
This test is used to measure the long running query in Sybase server.
This page depicts the
default parameters that need to be configured for the SybLongRunQueryTest.
-
The TEST PERIOD
list box helps the user to decide how often this test needs to be
executed.
-
To enable this test to connect to the Sybase server and collect the required metrics, it is enough if you configure the test with the name of a Sybase user who has the “mon_role” credential in the USER text box. However, for best results, it is recommended that you configure all Sybase tests with the credentials of a Sybase user who has the “mon_role”, “sa_role”, and “sybase_ts_role”.
-
The
password corresponding to the above user has to be entered in the PASSWORD
text box.
-
Confirm
the password by retyping it in the CONFIRM PASSWORD text
box.
-
In the ELAPSED TIME text box, specify the duration (in seconds) for which a query should have executed for it to be regarded as a long running query. The default value is 5.
-
Specify the number of long running queries for which details will be available in the detailed diagnosis page. If this limit is set to 5, then, it means that even if the total number of long running queries is 10, the detailed diagnosis of this test will provide information pertaining to only 5 queries. For information related to more number of queries, you should increase the DDROWCOUNT.
-
Once the
necessary
values have been provided, clicking on the UPDATE button will
register the changes made.
When changing default configurations of tests, the values with "$" indicate variables that will be replaced by the eG system according to the specific server being managed - for instance, $hostName is the host/nickname of the target host, $port is the port number of the server being monitored. E.g., for a server xyz:80, $hostName will be changed automatically by the eG manager to "xyz" and $port will be changed to "80" when configuring a test.
