This page appears when the Add Threshold Rules button in the THRESHOLD RULES page is clicked, and facilitates the addition of new threshold rules. To create a new rule, first select the Component type and Test to which the threshold rule shall apply. If you have reached this page while configuring Specific Thresholds for a component-type and test chosen from the AGENTS - THRESHOLD CONFIGURATION page, then the component-type and test so chosen will be the default selections in the Component type and Test lists in this page. You can however, select a different component-type and test, if you so wish. Then, specify the name of the new rule in the RULE NAME text box.

The measures pertaining to the chosen test will also be displayed in this page. By default, some of the measures will be pre-configured with the threshold limits based on the industry standard practices. Such threshold limits will be displayed along with the preset alarm policy for the meassure. Also from this page you can easily figure out if the maximum or minimum threshold has been set for the measure of your choice.

Clicking on any measure will lead you to the CONFIGURE THRESHOLDS page through which you can configure the threshold rule. To know more about how to configure the thresholds, click here.

This page also appears when the Modify button against a rule is clicked. In addition, this page will also appear when you select a test from the TESTS WITH GROUP THRESHOLD list box of the SPECIFIC THRESHOLDS page and click the Modify button. In this case, you will be able to modify the rule by refining the threshold settings.
