Parameters for SmAdminTest
The SmAdminTest reports statistics pertaining to the admin logins to the policy server. This page depicts the
default parameters that need to be configured for the SmAdminTest.
-
The TEST PERIOD
list box helps the user to decide how often this test needs to be executed.
-
In the AGENTNAMES text box, provide a comma-separated list of agent names.
-
Currently, this test collects measures by parsing the log files. Therefore, specify "logFile" as the LOGOPTION. Future versions of eG may include support for database logging.
-
The full path to the log file has to be specified in the PATH text box. For example, "D:\Progra~1\Netegrity\SiteMinder\Log\smaccess.log".
Note:
In order to ensure that the SmAdminTest functions effectively, audit logging has to be enabled for the SiteMinder policy server. To achieve this, do the following:
- Open the "SiteMinder Policy Server Management Console" using the Start -> Programs -> Site Minder -> SiteMinder Policy Server Management Console menu sequence.
- Click on the Settings tab to open it.
- In the Audit Logging section present at the bottom of this tab, click on the Audit User Activity and Audit Administrative Activity check boxes.
- Then, select the Text File option, and specify the full path to the log file that is to be used for audit logging. Ensure that the same path is specified against the PATH parameter of the SmAdminTest.
- Finally, click the OK button to apply the changes.
