Default Parameters for IBMDb2ServiceTest

The IBMDb2ServiceTest reveals the availability and responsiveness of the DB2 server. This page depicts the default parameters that need to be configured for the IBMDb2ServiceTest.

  • The TEST PERIOD list box helps the user to decide how often this test needs to be executed. 

  • In the USER text box, specify the name of the user who has any of the following privileges to the specified DATABASE: SYSADM or SYSCTRL or SYSMAINT or SYSMON.

  • Enter the password of the specified USER in the PASSWORD text box.

  • Retype the password in the CONFIRM PASSWORD text box.

  • In the DATABASE text box, specify the name of the database on the monitored DB2 server to be used by this test.

  • The test emulates a user executing a query on the specified DATABASE, and thus determines the availability and responsiveness of the database server. In the QUERY text box, specify the select query to execute.

  • Once the above value is provided, click on the Update button to register the changes made.
