This test monitors the message queues on the AS400 server.

This page depicts the default parameters that need to be configured for the AS400MessageQTest.

• The TEST PERIOD list box helps the user to decide how often this test needs to be executed. 

• This test connects to the AS400 server being monitored to extract the required metrics. Therefore, specify the name of the AS400 server to connect to in the SERVERNAME text box.

• This test connects to the AS400 server being monitored to extract the required metrics from it. Hence, in the USERID text box, specify a valid user ID for logging into the AS400 server.

• Provide the PASSWORD that corresponds to the specified USERID.

• Confirm the password by retyping it in the CONFIRM PASSWORD text box.

• Configure the path to the message queue to be monitored in the PATH text box. If you want to monitor the default message queue for the configured user, then specify *CURRENT in this text box. Please note that * in the front is mandatory. On the other hand, if you want to monitor the message queue of a different user, then your PATH specification should be in the following format: /QSYS.LIB/QUSRSYS.LIB/<userID>.MSGQ, where <userID> is the user whose message queue needs to be monitored.

• Once the above value is provided, click on the Update button to register the changes made.
