Sometimes, administrators might want to analyze the performance of a few, selected components within a zone. If the concerned zone consists of hundreds of components, then picking the candidates for analysis from an endless component-list would pose quite a challenge for administrators. Therefore, to enable administrators to quickly and effectively analyze the problems and the overall performance of one/more components that are part of a zone, eG Enterprise allows the configuration of Zone Views.

A Zone View can best be described as a subset of a zone, comprising of mission-critical components that are part of a zone.

This page can be accessed by following the menu sequence Components -> Zones -> View, and lists the zone views that pre-exist in an environment. If no views have been configured yet, then a message to that effect will appear in this page. To add a new zone view, click on the ADD NEW VIEW button in this page. You can even modify/delete an existing view, by clicking on the MODIFY or DELETE buttons against a view in this page.
