Configuration of TPDCpgCapctyTest A common provisioning group (CPG) creates a virtual pool of logical disks that allows virtual volumes to share the CPG's resources and allocates space on demand. A CPG allows up to 65,536 virtual volumes to share a CPG's assigned resources. The allocated capacity of CPG includes usable space, snap space and administration space. This test periodically checks the usage of those spaces on the target storage system and proactively alerts administrators to potential storage space contentions so that, amends are made before application performance deteriorates. The default parameters associated with this test are:
When changing the configuration for specific servers, a “*” beside the text box corresponding to the parameter signifies that these values have to be manually configured by the user. The parameter values that require to be configured will typically be prefixed with a “$” or contain a series of “*”. A value of “none” in the parameter value indicates that the corresponding parameter value can be changed if required. |
